Don't Ask!

So, let me explain: I was talking on the phone with Ky about McKayla's new school doing only all day kindergarten and how I was going to be so board with the kids gone. After I got off the phone with him Alina started to Cry. At this point McKayla yells that she needs help with something, but of course I don't listen. So Alina goes on to explain that she doesn't want to be gone (remember me telling Ky that the girls were going to be gone all day, apparently she thought she was going to be gone forever). McKayla yells again, so I go to find out what she needs help with and this is what I find. She had zipped herself into the bag our comforter came in, then couldn't get out.

Alina's hair

So I tried a new hair style from one of the hair blogs and I thought it turned out really cute.

Forgotten pictures

Sorry to those of you who have requested pictures of our house that I have forgotten to post. The first is the greenery above the cabinets and the second is Alina's new bed.

Colorado Springs Mountain Zoo

We spent yesterday at Jeff and Jennifer's house. They took us to the Colorado Springs Mountain Zoo, and after spending several hours hiking around to see the animals I understand why they call it a Mountain zoo. I would highly recommend going if you are ever in the area, but make sure you have your hiking boot ready. The girls had a great time, they got to feed the giraffes, which were so close you could touch, they went to a monkey show, pet a dragon (a bearded dragon) and got to spend time with their friend Madelyn. I was really surprised that all the girls walked, or should I say hiked, the whole way and didn't complain at all.

The Tooth Fairy

McKayla lost her first tooth this past week and was so excited. The morning after the tooth fairy came she drew this picture so Alina would know what the tooth fairy looks like. She has another loose tooth and can't wait to use her tooth fairy pillow again.

My Brave Girl

While we were at the Butterfly Pavilion we had the opportunity to hold Rosie the tarantula. McKayla was only a little hesitant, but quickly sat down and put her hands out. She was the only one in the family to do it. Alina quickly said no as she ran off. Kyle wouldn't even take a turn. McKalya giggled as the spider crawled around her hand and said that it felt like a hermit crab crawling on her. I can't believe she was willing to hold a huge spider.

The Butterfly Pavilion

We went to the butterfly pavilion today and the girls had a great time, as did Kyle and myself. We got to see all different kinds of spiders, roaches and bees from around the world. We also got to go into the butterfly pavilion and see all the different kinds of butterflies. The girls were really hoping to have a butterfly land on them, but had no such luck, maybe next time.

Thanks for looking
