Tulip Festival

Working in the garden

The girls love to go outside and help Grandma in the garden. They help water, pull weeds and plant seeds and think it is the greatest thing ever.

Official Race Time

So, I got my official race time this morning and.. dun, dun, dun.... 2:17:26. Admittedly not amazing by any standards, but great for me. My first half was 2:28 and my second, which was two weeks ago was 2:26, so I am very excited. Under 2:15 is my next goal.

New Running Shoes

After over 600 miles and three half marathons I've decided that it is time to get some new running shoes. I finished my third half marathon today and my feet were killing me, there is absolutely no padding left in my shoes. I did really well, for me that is. I don't have my official time yet, but I think I ran this half about 10 minutes faster than my first. I am very proud of myself (and also a little sore)

Wheeler Farm

We went to Wheeler Farm yesterday and the kids had a great time. It has been a life long dream of McKayla's (I'm not joking when I say this) to milk a cow, and yesterday she did it. She was so excited and actually got milk out. Alina got to try as well, and was also able to get milk out. Who knew milking a cow could be so much fun.

Tracy Aviary

We went to the Tracy Aviary Yesterday and the girls had a great time. They loved seeing all the birds, especially Taya who quacked the whole time we were there.

Another Half Marathon

So, I ran my second half marathon last Saturday in Provo. It was great, the first six miles were into the wind (very strong wind I might add) and there was a huge hill at mile 12, but I ran the whole way and finished. I also completed the race two minutes faster then my last half marathon, I know, it's not a huge improvement, but it's something.

Grandma picked McKayla up from school in the truck one day last week, so McKayla thought it would be a great picture opportunity if she got in the back of the truck. She was so upset when I walked out with the camera, because she wanted Grandma to take her picture and not me.

Alina and Ethan playing veterinarian, Ethan was her cat. They are so cute together and love playing with each other.

Aliens

Last week at school McKayla learned all about space, so on the last day they painted their faces like aliens and made Alien hat things, she was so excited about it all week and wore her alien hat all day.
