Ky got this soda pop and Mentos thing in his stocking, so him and the girls went out to use it today, which was a good thing because they have asked at least a dozen times each day since he got it. Mckayla took the first picture, so it is just the top.

Christmas Presents

Christmas

This was the funnest Christmas for Ky and me because the girls were so excited about everything. I wish I could have captured more pictures like these, because this is what both of the girls looked like for every present they opened. And amazingly, every present was just what they wanted.

Christmas Eve

The last one!

The girls were really into the advent calendar (heck, they were into anything Christmas this year) They were very excited to put the last one on.

Reindeer Food

Alina got a bag of reindeer food at her preschool (glitter and oats.) This was the highlight of Christmas eve for both of the girls, they couldn't wait to put it out on the lawn.

A Christmas Eve Feast

We had our Christmas eve dinner on a blanket while we watched the Nativity story, then Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (because what Christmas is complete with out Rudolph)

Cookies for Santa

The girls helped Ky make cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. They also made sure that there were carrots set out for the reindeer.

Christmas Crafts

We got together with the Wiedrichs to paint some ornaments. They kids all had a great time, especially Jackson who giggled the whole time.

Christmas Dresses

My mom got the girls new Christmas dresses, which they love.

Alina's Preschool Christmas Program

Alina had her Christmas program at preschool today. She has been so excited about it all week, and kept telling me that "dad is not going to work because he wants to see my Christmas program." She did a great job singing all of her songs, sitting on Santa's lap and eating yummy treats.

Christmas Goodies

We made Christmas cookies today, and lots of them. The girls were actually more help than trouble (unless you count the excessive begging to eat everything.) The girls had a blast dipping pretzels in chocolate and even more fun licking all of the bowls and spoons when we were done. Overall is was a very yummy day.

I was probably supposed to wait until Christmas, but is came in the mail, so I opened it. Once it was opened I had a to hang it. I am very excited about our new picture, which goes perfectly above the piano. So thanks Craig and Kathy.

Too Cute

Alina being Alina.

It's Cold!!!

When ever is snows we have to check the school's site to make sure that there is not a delay (which has happened several times now) So while Ky was checking he decided to check the weather as well. The results; -6, but felt like -19. But don't worry about us, The heat wave came and it warmed all the was up to 5.

The best husband ever

So, Thanks to my great hubby, I now have a camera. So you can expect regular updates on our blog from now on (That is, if I don't break this camera as well)

Don't they look radiant!

I think that McKayla has seen too many commercials because today while putting on my moisturizer she told my that she was radiant and looked like she was four, not five. And apparently Alina looked like she was three, not four. So, if you want to look younger, go get yourself some moisturizer.

Exciting?

So, our washing machine has finally bit the dust. We went and got a new whirlpool duet, which is a front loading, energy saving, water saving, etc... washer. Under normal circumstances this would be a very exciting purchase, however, we have no furniture on the main floor. I have been looking for the past few weeks for chairs to go in our living room or great room, but this must be postponed. So, while I am excited to have a new washer, I am a little disappointed at not being able to buy furniture.

Sisters

The dreaded hair cut

It has been 4 years in the making, but we finally did it. I took Alina to get her first hair cut. She had no idea what was happening until I went to sit her in the chair, at which point she grabbed hold of my neck and started sobbing. She did a great job once the lady started talking to her about Santa. They cut 3 inches off, but I don't think anyone will notice.

Our new place

Jennifer was nice enough to let me use her camera, so here are a few pictures of our new place.

The Blind

McKayla: "Mom, do you know what blind people need?"
Me: "No, what?"
Mckayla: "A GPS."
Me: Why do they need a GPS?"
McKayla: "Well, blind people can't see, but they can hear, so they can hear the GPS while they are driving and they will know which way to go."

Grandparents

These are probably my two favorite pictures from our trip. We tried to get a picture of the grandkids with the grandparents, and as you can see they did not exactly go as planned. Good thing my dad is done having kids.

Uncle Josh

Uncle Josh is by far the favorite uncle, or maybe jungle gym is a more correct word for him. The kids had a blast with him

Cousins

The girls had a great time playing with their cousins.

Thanks for looking
