Pamukkale

You can see Pamukkale behind ky and the girls.

There were no shoes allowed on the Travertine terraces.

Some places had supper gushy mud and others had little rocks that hurt your feet.

The girls loved getting into each of the pools.

You can no longer get into these pools.

This picture is a semi accurate shot of what we saw, minus about one hundred pounds.  Lots of sexy Europeans in speedos and bikinis, no matter their size.

This lady refused to move so I could get a picture of the girls, but she was very willing to let them stand next to her.  I'm just glad her suit did not fall off, which was a concern.

More pools that people were not allowed into.  They look so much nicer than the ones we climbed through.

The pools with a great view of the valley below Pamukkale.

Hierapolis at Pamukkale

After we climbed the travertine terraces we visited Hierapolis.  McKayla enjoyed posing at a Greek Goddess every chance she got.

And you can't take a picture of one kid without the other one feeling left out.

Swimming in the Ruins

Before we moved to Turkey we bought a travel book and looked at all the awesome things we could do in Turkey.

One of the first things I highlighted was swimming in the ruins at Pamukkale.

So, even though it was way overpriced, we still did it.

It was a bit disappointing, but at the same time exciting that I was doing something I had thought about for a year.  And, the kids loved it.

Terrace Houses at Ephesus

We stopped to see the Terrace houses while at Ephesus

The floors were my favorite part

In Istanbul I took pictures of ceilings and in Ephesus I took pictures of floors.

It was really hot, so when ever Alina found a shady spot we took a break.

The Virgin Mary's House

After Ephesus we went to the Virgin Mary's house.

It is believed that this is where the apostle John brought her.

We had lunch at the café.

Then happy birthday ice cream.

Thanks for looking
