St Louis

St Louis was disappointing to say the least. Grant's farm was so crowded we couldn't get close to the front gates, tickets to the arch were sold out and my favorite restaurant was closed.

We arrived

Got to my Grandma's house on Saturday afternoon. The girls were excited to be out of the car and have a large yard to run around in.

Hospital

So, to make a long story short Mckayla cut her toe and had to go to the ER. Lots of fun.

Springfield, Illinois

We went to the Lincoln museum.

Cozy Dog

Courtesy of Man V. Food, we found the original corn dog, so we had to try it. I must say that it is the best corn dog I have had.

Lincoln's tomb

While in Springfield we went to Lincoln's tomb. We all got to rub his nose for good luck.

Lincoln's New Salem

While in Springfield we went to Lincoln's New Salem which is a restored village that Lincoln lived in for six years. The heat index was 105, so is was really hot as you can see from the girls red faces. It was a neat place to visit and gave you a good feel for what life was like in the mid 1800's.

Thanks for looking
